kawa Nanase born 2 May 1967 saka, bloodtype A Mokona Apapa born 16 Jun 1968, Ky to bloodtype A Nekoi Mick born 21 Jan 1969, Ky to bloodtype O Igarashi Satsuki born 8 Feb 1969, Ky to bloodtype A CLAMP originally began in 1989 as a twelve member d jinshi circle, but by 1990, the circle had diminished from twelve to seven Of the remaining seven, Tamayo Akiyama, Sei Nanao, and Leeza Sei left the group during the production of the RG Veda manga Other former members of CLAMP also included Soushi Hishika, O Kyon, Kazue Nakamori, Yuzuru Inoue and Shinya mi Currently, there are four members in the group. In 2004, CLAMP s 15th anniversary as a mangaka group, the members changed their names from Nanase Ohkawa, Mokona Apapa, Mick Nekoi, and Satsuki Igarashi to Ageha Ohkawa, Mokona, Tsubaki Nekoi and Satsuki Igarashi her name is pronounced the same, but written with different characters respectively The August 2004 issue of Newtype USA, a magazine specializing in events of the anime and manga subcultures, reported that the members of CLAMP simply wanted to try out new names In a later interview with Ohkawa, it was revealed that initially Mokona wanted to drop her surname because it sounded too immature for her liking, while Nekoi disliked people commenting that her name was the same as Mick Jagger s Ohkawa and Igarashi, wanting to go with the flow of Nekoi s and Mokona s name changes, changed their names as well.In 2006, they made their first USA public debut at Anime Expo in Anaheim, California They were well received at the convention, with 6,000 fans in attendance at their panel.

  1. I haven t read any of the other Blood manga series I started with this one because it s only 4 volumes long.It s pretty interesting and grabs your attention The artwork isn t typical CLAMP, and I really like that about it.

  2. Saya and her father live in a little rural town Although Saya may appear to be an ordinary schoolgirl, she is a demon slayer While it may seem like nothing much is going on every day, Saya and her father know better They know that the evil ones are incredibly strong and they are devouring humans at night Wielding the divine blade, Saya vows to destroy the demons She is determined to protect the innocence and restore peace to the place where she calls home.I like Saya She is a sweet teenager with [...]

  3. Mon avis en Fran aisMy English reviewAh this series I watched a lot of anime several years ago A friend made me discover some very good ones and this is how I discovered Blood I must say it was a very nice surprise and I watched each episode with a lot of pleasure Of course I also watched the movie Blood The Last Vampire but that I didn t like it that much I also watched the real movie which was released years earlier but it was the same But when I discovered this novel, I was curious to see how [...]

  4. Prelim Review Its important to remember that this manga is predicated on two things 1 This was originally an anime series.2 Its part of the larger Blood, the Last Vampire universe. If you re going into the manga having watched the anime, read seen previous incarnations of the universe Blood for instance, which is both an anime and manga domestically available in America or a combination of the above, your mileage will vary from my experience For me I ve only seen one episode of the anime Blood an [...]

  5. It s no secret that I m a sucker for pretty much anything CLAMP does participates in, and BLOOD C is no exception I m also a huge fan of the greater Blood The Last Vampire universe, too If you ve wanted an alternate universe where Kisaragi Saya is a bumbling schoolgirl yet deadly hunter, this is definitely one of the BLOOD spin offs you need to check out.The content of the manga isn t so different from the BLOOD C TV series, if you ve seen that It covers up until Nene and the Old Ones come into [...]

  6. The various iterations of Blood, Higurashi, and Jigoku Shoujo are all my favorite manga anime horror series ever and I ll read watch anything that s put out for them And when I saw CLAMP was doing this, I think I literally gasped I also love Production I.G too I ll admit I never finished watching the Blood C anime I haven t watched much anime at all in the last year but I m excited to have the manga translated I preordered it as soon as I saw it up on and got my copy last week Love that we got c [...]

  7. CLAMP s version of the Blood saga might not be as interesting as the Blood TV show, but it has it s merits The artwork of the book is spectacular, as expected The storyline is interesting, with Saya as a priest s daughter in a countryside town Everything is normal and calm, except the fact that she is charged with hunting down the Old ones monstrous creatures that attack humans The most interesting aspect of any form of Saya is the fact that she is a killing machine In The Last Vampire, she is a [...]

  8. Love the art, iffy on the story I watched Blood back when it aired on Cartoon Network Or was it Toonami Oh well I read the original novel I m somewhat aware of this verse, but unsure where it fits Is Saya the same Saya Hmmm Otherwise, there s a lot of classic CLAMP feel to this besides the artsy stuff The girl twins that deliver news, the lovely girl girl moments, maybe Love that Saya has a Sailor Moon esque pigtail thing going on trueheroineWhether I m going to read is 50 50 We ll see.

  9. It s sort of like a Japanese Buffy a young girl living with her father is the only one in the world chosen to protect her friends from the ancient ones demons who attack and kill humans in her small rural town.Like everything CLAMP it s beautifully illustrated, and has a good share of mysterious characters both human and animal creature that I am sure will be revealed to be much than meets the eye as the series progresses.

  10. I have seen the Blood C anime previously so am looking forward to seeing how this story plays out in an anime format I was happy when I managed to find the whole series discounted in a sale and promptly bought the whole lot to add to my growing manga collection. So far it looks good, I quite like the art style and the story is very similar to what I remember from the anime.I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

  11. Saya s a cool girl, obtuse but also clear headed when needed Even though she s super clumsy, she s somehow able to be athletic I know the student council president and Guimare s chef are both crushing on her, and I think her thing with her father is really weird, but whatever, I guess I m not quite sure what to make of the rest yet I like Yuko Is that something

  12. NetGalley free readUnfortunately there are a lot of panes that say nothing I m not even sure who Saya is as a person within the first 50 pages or so.Her whole relationship at school feels like filler for the story.I don t know what I was missing, but I m very disappointed as I loved the cartoon and even the live action film.

  13. Tbh, if I hadn t seen the anime before, I wouldn t have given it even 2 stars Knowing what happens and why the first chapters are like that definitely helps with enjoying the manga a tiny bit Frankly speaking, I was hoping for drawn out battle sequences and uncensored deaths but I suppose you can t have everything.2.5 stars

  14. So it s a series based upon CLAMP s work but not actually by CLAMP Despite this, the art is quite good though the action sequences are a bit hard to follow while the plot is an unfocused mess that spends too much time on school antics.
