  1. 3.5 StarsWow, I m still trying to digest this Don t expect any answers when reading this dark, heavy, tense, and atmospherically creepy tale In fact, less is definitely when it comes to this story because it revolves so much around all that is NOT said The time period reminded me of a Gothic horror because of the descriptions of the setting, but the music sounded like it emanated from the 1920s, so I wasn t too sure of the actual time period of the writing I do believe this was done on purpose [...]

  2. Terrifying So many great lines that I want to quote, but then that would be half the story Really luscious tale, full of the impression of horror It s a story about negative spaces She did navigate a world of touch or sight but rather things intuited, understood within the flesh.

  3. Another one of our fabulous stories The first Halloween Tale in what we hope will be an annual tradition Horror Identity First contact And that cover by Kristina Tsenova More about the story here

  4. i like having answers to my stories, and i guess thats why i struggle with truly enjoying horror stories it was atmospheric, I ll give it that, but i walked away feeling empty.

  5. A nicely chilling and mysterious story from the Book Smugglers publishing.Don t expect a lot of answers from this story but that lack is done perfectly This is one of those tales where the shape of what you don t know intrigues and excites the imagination It invites you to add your own horror to the tension on the page, creating a purely satisfying spine tingle It leaves me wanting , but also feeling like I was given everything I needed.

  6. 4.5 StarsI haven t read something this beautifully weird in a long while Chock full of arresting imagery and a fascinating lead, it s a bit Ann Radcliffe, a bit Merricat Blackwood, a bit Kelly Link, yet something all its own Perfect for a fans of the Gothic and poetic.

  7. Pretty fantastic an amazing atmospheric tale that never quite tells you its secrets Beautiful turns of phrase make this a perfect little sweet of a spooky tale.

  8. Another short story from Book Smugglers Publishing Very well written and atmospheric but I want to know I guess that s a good thing right Felt a little too short for my satisfaction.

  9. I wrote this So naturally I think it s pretty good And you can read it for absolutely FREE, right now it s short thebooksmugglers 2015 10 t
