  3. 3 1 2 stars I had a rough time focusing at the beginning of the book, and was slightly annoyed by the end both of which did not involve the main character, by the way However, the middle part, involving the heroine, was a serviceable Gothic romance Nothing brilliant or especially new about it, but a fun, easy read I breezed through Now that I ve read a lot of Georgette Heyer s work, it was difficult not to see the similarities in some characters and plotlines of this book to many Heyer novels bu [...]
