    Sybil Baker s latest book is Immigration Essays C and R Press, Feb 2017 She is also the author of The Life Plan, Talismans, and Into This World, which received an Eric Hoffer Award Honorable Mention and was a finalist for Foreword s Best Book of the Year Award Her work has appeared in many publications including Guernica, Electric Literature, Glimmer Train, The Critical Flame, The Collagist, and The Nervous Breakdown A UC Foundation Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she was recently a Visiting Writer for Murray State s low residency MFA program and was a Visiting Professor at Middle Eastern Technical University in North Cyprus She was awarded two MakeWork Artist Grants and a 2017 Individual Artist s Fellowship from the Tennessee Arts Commission She is Fiction Editor at Drunken Boat.

  1. This book wasn t really a book on immigration It was a book about the author and her travels I found it boring and was happy to be done with it I received this book as a first reads giveaway, in exchange for my review.
