  1. A second chance for love for sa khui couple Asha HemaloBefore I started this book, I did not like Asha She was constantly trying to steal Aehako from Kira She was a bitch to everyone and never helped in the first books In the later books, she only likes babysitting And in this book, we learn why.So, after I finished this book, I felt sorry for Asha, I understood her behavior, but I still did not like her Her relationship with Hemalo is just lukewarm and unenthusiastic Apparently, he is the only [...]

  2. I LOVED IT Who knew prickly Asha s book would be one of my favorites I cried at least 3 times There were so many touching moments Hemalo is BAE I started understanding Asha in the short story Ice Ice Babies where she helps Nora with her twins I recommend reading that one first, otherwise, all you will know is the biotchy Asha from Aehako and Kira s book There is much to her than that two dimensional cold and angry person In this one, we really get to see a different side to her I ended up lovi [...]

  3. Okay, I read this early in my recent time of what will forever be known as Internetpocalypse 2017 at my house We actually lived like these barbarians by having no internet for over 5 days I know, I m somewhat of a brave hero for quietly enduring this disaster of epic proportions I barely complained at all less than several times a minute hour day And, now it s cold outside I feel like Not Hoth has been brought to Texas I m going to complain even less about this. All that to say that I barely rem [...]

  4. This was wonderful and heartbreaking story I m not crier myself and I can count on my fingers, how many books made me cry, and they are not that many But I cried reading this I can relate to it Not that I ve lost my child or anything but I m a mother and I guess that is enough explanation But it also beautiful in different ways And I m also so glad that Ruby fast forwarded the story for couple of years to give us happily ever after I really didn t care about time leap As she said, we can fill in [...]

  5. Me finding out who is the main character in this book Cant forget that scene in previous book where she flirted with OM and wanted to sleep with him while they were separated Bitch. Also not celibate after meeting hero.

  6. This is such an unusual blue barbarian s book I m used to our beloved blue barbarians to be attached to human girls by thier cooties, but here we have both hero and heroine who are both bkue WOW This is the story of Asha and Hemalo, who ve resonated and who lost themselves in tragedy I didn t like Asha from the previous books She was unlikable, surly and generally odious, but here we see why and how she was redeemed and it was heartbreaking Hemalo is also an unusual hero, for a blue barbarians s [...]

  7. This was both painful and delightful to read I ve been curious about Asha s story since she was introduced So I m very glad that we got this story Besides it was about time to see a pure sa khui couple And I always felt sorry for Hemalo So I wanted a HEA for him and Asha so so much And I finally got it The misunderstandings because of their failure to communicate were as hilarious as they were frustrating And once they started talking with each other as opposite to at each other things got bette [...]

  8. 2 Meh StarsThis was one of my least favorite in the series I had higher expectations for this one only because I took a break from the series and came back with a fresh mind I started the book and it was okay and then I soon realized nothing happened and I was already 20% into the book I really felt like this book could have been edited down to 50% This book was 50% inner monologues and descriptive writing Also, a lot of it was repetitive I was really surprised how much I couldn t relate to the [...]

  9. I love this series so for that alone I was going to read this book but to be very honest I m not a big fan of reading books with the heroine being not human I tend to put my place in the heroines shoes and I m human, I know I should get over this and I do for specific beloved authors So I read this book AND I loved it, this book was amazing, has Asha been horrible yes but she completely redeems herself and you understand her and feel her pain Hemalo was an amazingly patient mate, Asha was it for [...]

  10. Kindle Unlimited Crackilicious series It s been an addicting ride and it just keeps going Mostly slice of life for the sah khui, with Asha and Hemalo as the central couple This is of a second chance type romance, as they resonated many years ago, but lost a child Actually very touching installment.Yep, still loving Planet Blue Balls Onto the next.

  11. OK I have to admit that I never really liked Ashae seemed like a cold distant bitch. Here we finally get her story and why she s been acting like this Her mate Hemalo is clueless about how to appease her and whatever he tries seems to backfire.Great HEA

  12. This made for another amazing installment to a much loved series As a mother that has lost children I felt such a great connection to Ashas character Her grieving and sadness was so well portrayed and executed I can t wait to see what this writer comes up with next.

  13. Another quieter read, for all the grief and heartache that has to be worked through, but I am really glad that Asha and Hemalo finally got their HEA Less sexy, eventual happy feels in this one.

  14. I knew a lot of the readers who loved this series had made a lot of judgement against the heroine Asha regarding her past behavior I totally get how it looked I needed this book so badly because I am so emotional when it comes to the loss of a child If you are a mother and I ve been one for than half of my life oldest is 27 and my baby is 11 and was a preemie Well kids are everything to me The fact is when fear is present regarding your kids or grief it will change you, damage you.ke you lash o [...]

  15. I m on book 10 of this series and it s still going strong, I look forward to every release as I know Ruby Dixon is going to give me a tale of romance with a sexy blue alien to fall in love with In the case of Barbarian s Hope I get a sexy blue alien woman as well as this focuses on Asha and Hemalo, whose relationship fell apart after the devastating loss of their baby.I really liked Asha even before this book, at first she was a bit of a bitch but as the series continues we get to know about he [...]

  16. 3.5 stars I think this is the first one of this series not to get 5 stars and I don t know why Normally, I can t put these books down but this one just didn t work for me.

  17. I have to hand to Ruby Dixon, she got me loving a character I absolutely hated for nine books in only a couple chapters I swear, I wasn t even done reading the second chapter and I already decided I loved Asha Then I frown to myself All of my memories of Hemalo and I in a cave together are unpleasant ones, of me sniping at him or making angry comments Of him trying to please me and me pushing away his help Maybe I was never like that, after all Perhaps I was never a good mate Barbarian s Hope is [...]

  18. This was a good one Warning though to those who have lost an infant, this will be a tough read for you.

  20. Asha has been a prickly character throughout the Barbarian s series Here we learn the story of she and Hemalo s lost child and how difficult it has been for both of them to cope For a romance series, Asha s story has some real weight that Dixon presents well I liked how Hemalo recognizes Asha s need to be strong and in control and is comfortable paying the supporting role in their relationship to give her that space Claire s befriending Asha was a nice touch and it was interesting to see a new s [...]

  21. Ok, so this is one of my favorite series and I love it That being said, this is the book I didn t want to read, because I loathe Asha now I m way behind on the series Anyway, I feel sorry for Hemalo being stuck with a self centered b tch like her for a mate She literally treats him like something she stepped in, nobody should be treated like that, especially when they are a mated a total sweetheart too I mean she actually tried to sleep with other single hunters while she was mated How do you th [...]

  22. 4.5 Stars Asha is the type of character, or person, that is hard for some to understand or even to like Asha likes getting her way and being the center of attention, which was easy when there were few females, and she had not resonated yet Personally, I love snarky bitches with attitude There is a difference between a horribly unlikable person and a bitch after all She is stubborn, hot tempered and defensive Still, that doesn t mean she isn t a caring person When she resonated to Hemalo, like ma [...]

  23. Your warm parts could give my warm parts a greeting This was a bit different than the other books in the barbarian s series The other couples had a story full of the expected excitement that two people are feeling when they meet for the first time On the other hand, there were parts of Asha s and Hemalo s story that contained sadness and tragedy.Asha was the one that had a strong and recently prickly personality while Hemalo was a calm and introverted person Their relationship was quite balanced [...]

  24. We finally get the story on the tribe s most talked about couple Hemalo and Asha are well known in the tribe for their problems as mates They both lost a child many seasons ago and from then broke apart They were awful to each other Fought all the time Asha sought the furs of other males in the tribe rather than her mate s Though none would ever disrespect Hemalo and accept her offer Asha is a character I ve both pitied and hated Yes she lost a child and that is very terrible but her actions tow [...]

  25. Mild Trigger view spoiler miscarriage, likely postnatal depression hide spoiler though readers following the series would have known alreadyNot gonna lie, if this book is written by anyone but Dixon, I will just directly skip it I am not a fan of second chances takes a lot to convince me something that doesn t work the first time is gonna be ok second time around Also casting such a h is probably a road straight to disaster, given how unlikable she is Dixon did a spectacular job turning such an [...]
