I found this book hugely frustrating and came away wondering whether the series is, in fact, aimed at reluctant readers or those with a comparatively low reading age Simplistic dialogue, redundant sentences and a total lack of subtlety made for a massively frustrating reading experience In positive terms, the plot was snappy and didn t linger, and the characterisation for Billie and her trainer were interesting Lots of nice set pieces, including the dressage.Overall, I wish this had been about [...]

Good story, quickly paced However there are 3 glaring technical errors if you know horses eventing They cost some serious credibility with me, but non horsey people wouldn t notice them Whilst I really support the meaning behind this book, it is on the simplified side So it would suit younger readers or those with a lower reading ability well.Overall, I did really like this book.
