  1. I love all the Maisy books from my own childhood I think they are charming and sweet and classic stories which are loved by children In this story, Maisy injures herself falling off a trampoline and has to go to hospital It can be a useful book to read to children that may need to go to hospital as it enforces they are friendly places and nothing to be afraid of They can also relate the story to their own experiences which can be comforting.

  2. Maisy Goes to the Hospital is a new experience book that emphasizes the social and emotional feelings associated with being hurt feeling ill and being in a hospital Teachers can read this book to students to teach about what happens in a hospital, why people go to the hospital, and who works at the hospital Additionally, students can learn about what makes them feel better while they are sick or not having a good day.

  3. We haven t read other Maisy books but this is a nice simple text for under 5 s about visiting or being admitted to the hospital Miss 2 likes the picture of the x ray and being able to point out that the bone is broken.Miss 2 and I like to explore different books at the library and try to get different ones out every week or so.

  4. While visiting my granddaughter I had the privilege of reading Maisy Goes to the Hospital several times in one day This is proof enough to me that this book garners the attention of children, both with the stories and the illustrations.Lucy Cousins is the author and the illustrator of this and other Maisy books In this book the main character, Maisy, breaks a leg, so she needed to visit the hospital This book covers many topics which can prove scary to children being injured, seeing the doctor, [...]

  5. he perfect prescription for preschoolers who may be visiting the hospital and a healthy story time choice for Maisy s loyal fans One day as Maisy is bouncing on her trampoline, she bounces a LITTLE too high Oh, no What will happen after she falls and hurts her leg Maisy s friend Charley goes with her to the hospital, where X rays, a cast, and an overnight stay ensue Maisy feels strange to be away from home, but a friendly patient soon helps her feel better Little readers will be relieved and int [...]

  6. Very colorfully, bold book The bold lines and smooth texture reflect the books simplicity from the characters like Doctor Duck, to the story line, to the illustrations themselves The illustrations lack much detail, but the cartoony illustrations, or artistic style, of the book is great for children, especially, new readers who need simple books The simplified backgrounds and illustrations help beginning readers feel less overwhelmed and comfortable Also, with less on a page the reader can focus [...]

  7. Maisy is definitely not my favorite picture book character, but I guess I can see how she became so popular probably mainly due to the credit of the publicists and publishers Definitely not a captivating story type picture book, but it is informative for little kids who are nervous about doing things for the first time in this case, going to the hospital I will probably only resort to these if when Z is interested in learning about these types of events.

  8. When Maisy falls off her trampoline and breaks her leg she has to go to the hospital to have a cast put on She s a little nervous when the doctor says she has to spend the night in the hospital she ll miss her friends But then her friends come to visit her and she has a nice roommate Soon she is able to go home on crutches.
