  1. Ten years ago, David Beckett was under suspicion for killing his ex fianc e when her body was discovered in one of the displays of his family s museum David was cleared and left Key West Now Katie O Hara wants to buy the museum David doesn t want the museum to re open, so he returns to Key West to put a stop to the sale While he s back, he also wants the cold case of his ex fianc e s murder re opened since the killer was never found And then murders start happening. This was an extremely enjoyab [...]

  2. What would you a call a woman that, at 4am and all by herself, goes to the house where a dead body was found TOO STUPID TO LIVEThis happened at the beginning of the book so I ll take it as clue of how she ll act during the rest of the story.DNF

  3. The premise of this book was so promising, but the execution of the story didn t live up to my expectations The main character, Katie, was incredibly irritating even though she sees ghosts The conversations were painful at one point the main love interest tells Katie that she has grown up and out in all the right places I didn t think the ending was as predictable as other people on GR, but I m not always very quick on figuring things out I did like the ghost Bartholomew and learning about the h [...]

  4. There were a lot of things about this books to like, but a lot of things that just weren t quite right The heroine was likable and relatable, but other characters were harder to read The dialogue was pretty clunky at times, and the exposition fairy was such a constant presence that it was almost a character in and of itself And sadly, I never really got a feel for the hero s personality, and I didn t entirely buy the chemistry between the two characters it seemed kind of forced to me However, it [...]

  5. I just kind of happened across Ghost Shadow and to be completely honest, it s not really a genre I read or enjoy very much It s pretty heavy on the romance, and that s not my thing at all But that s not why I only gave it two stars had a fairly interesting premise girl lives in fabulous place that I would like to visit, girl sees speaks to ghosts, girl gets caught up in a murder mystery, fabulous place has all kinds of fascinating history All things I could get into, but GS simply isn t put toge [...]

  7. This is a review of the entire Bone Island Trilogy I promised myself no Heather Graham after last year s ultra disappointing Flynn Brothers trilogy But I caved, yet again As always, the premise of the book sucked me in I had no expectations and thought this might be something light to read while recovering from an illness I was actually pleasantly surprised Ghost Shadow is genuinely creepy, even if the killer is somewhat obvious The second book in the trilogy, Ghost Night is the weakest of the [...]

  8. This was not a bad book just not amazing or particularly wow inspiring.I loved the setting of Key West, and Ms Graham portrayed the dark, mysterious and intriguing history and legends of the islands in a well done, fascinating way.Katie was a fairly likeable character with an amazing gift of seeing and communicating with ghosts Speaking of which, Bartholomew was a ghostly entity who provided a lot of comic relief and was quite possibly my favourite character in the book David was an okay guy and [...]

  9. Ghost Shadow by Heather GrahamBook 1 in Bone Island Trilogy2 StarsSynopsis Katie O Hara can see and speak to ghosts She plans on purchasing and refurbishing a wax museum where the gruesome discovery of a corpse was made several years before Now, with the suspects returning to Key West and the new bodies piling up, Katie, with the help of her ghostly friends and the original victim s ex fianc , must discover the identity of the killer before she becomes his next victim.Review The macabre details [...]

  10. I can t do it I love the idea of the book and really want to love it but I just can t The POV change is frequent and rough to the point where it gets annoying The main character just got on my nerves and the dialogueople do not talk like that The only reason that I am giving this 2 stars instead of one is Bartholomew, the only character in the book that I enjoyed

  12. I actually started listening to this a few days ago I really liked the storyline in this book Then again, mixing mystery and history always sucks me in Then throw in a little touch of ghosts and I m hooked until the end Now on to find the next book in the series

  13. Nice solid romance Graham did a wonderful job of bringing Key West to life and I really enjoyed the history of the islands that preceded the story Bartholomew the ghost was probably my favorite character I m planning on finishing the trilogy at some point.

  14. Started off strong, but then everything sort of kept repeating Talking a lot about the same few family trees, scuba diving, Fantasy Fest, being a cop, and the Hanging Tree Book could have been about 100 pages shorter Kept getting the male characters mixed up because of their similar names Danny, David, Sam, Sean, ect Not the best ending Wish there were ghosts.

  15. Silly stuff An interesting plot, a great setting the Keys , but it was a tad shallow for my taste And I really cannot stand when heroines act like helpless, naive, simpering balls of fluff.

  16. Both Katie and David are both from families that originated in the Florida Keys The villian is also descended from someone who settled there years ago In the opening of you get quite a few historical facts about the Keys which I thought was awesome, before you the know the significance of the history to the story Katie is this intelligent woman who just happens to have always been able to see ghost She has a constant companion in Bartholomew, but the others just come to her when they need help Da [...]

  17. Oh sweet Jesus, the dialogue SO BAD Seriously, does the author really think people speak that way As if the rest of the plot wasn t poorly executed enough, not even the characters were compelling logical enough to save the story Also, repeating a characters full name doesn t need to happen every time they come up in conversation, meet up with the point of view character or a clue comes up that they re connected to If you read this book after you read my short, pained review, then please keep a t [...]

  18. I guess I m in the minority of people who did not like Ghost Shadow.I found the book incredibly dull and slow I kept waiting for something to really grab me and make me focus my attention, but even the murders could not do this The plot was decent, the main character is likable and the time line of Key West s history at the beginning of the story ties in well within the book, but the characters are severely underdeveloped Overall, I just think the story was poorly executed I have no interest in [...]

  19. I cannot imagine what prompted me to buy this book It must have been a horrible mistake So I punished myself by listening to every last syrupy word I enjoyed the historical background of Key West and it is probably this first Chapter that raised hopes and expectations of something novel, remarkable and intriguing Not exactly what was delivered RIdiculous is probably an apt descriptor Not my cup of tea, thanks Glad that it is over

  20. Setting and characters were interesting, but the dialog was just awful Stilted, jumpy, illogical at times I just don t understand how authors get published when they can t write dialog Not worth your time, there are Much better books out there

  21. This was a terrible bookI couldn t get through it at all I wanted to put it down in the first chapter but kept reading to give Heather Graham the benefit of the doubt I stopped a couple pages into the second Not my kind of book at all and I would never recommend this one to anyone I know.

  22. I really wanted to like it but I didn t like the characters The story felt like it was either going in circles or just sooooooo slow.

  23. Un peu cousu de fil blanc mais c est une lecture sympathique avec un fant me attachant Je lirai la suite

  24. This is the second time that I had this book I tried and tried and just could not get into it and I cannot explain why.

  25. Haunting, dramatic, yet so realGhost Shadow by Heather Graham is a novel that pulls in the reader Liked it did with me I was so hooked that I ended up speeding through the pages When I got to the end, I was beyond satisfied The characters are intriguing A combination of old family history and an old revenge seem to come back and taunt the living Somebody wants the a certain family line to perish All because their family member hung for a crime A crime that was actually committed by the hung memb [...]
