  1. Books like Marc Guggenheim and Howard Chaykin s Undead Again are why you don t see many Blade comics out there it s AWFUL and shows that he s just not that interesting a character On paper he sounds good a vampire hunter who s also a vampire but in practice, you get garbage like this Blade fights some vampire SHIELD agents, there s some rubbish about Blade travelling back in time to save Doom s mother, he fights a possessed mall Santa, stakings, and he pointlessly tangles with Wolverine It s su [...]

  2. Absolutely hated this series I can t stand Howard Chaykin s art, I have no idea why people like him so much And did Marc Guggenheim really write for Law Order and CSI Miami Cause he sucks at writing comics He didn t do any research on the history of the character, or even research on vampires The guy s kind of an arrogant jackass too No wonder this series got cancelled The only good thing about this book were the covers by Marko Djurdjevi.

  3. My god Sooooo bad Awful Terrible. The only salvage is the strangely unrelated Casualties of War Civil War aftermathSHIELD hires Blade to kill Wolverine, turns out he can t.e Wolverine saved his ass in ye olden days.So fucking bad Howard Chaykin s artwork is so wrong for this book I cannot stress that enough.Guggenheim was tolerable on Wolverine run, but this Ugh.Avoid like a dog rape.

  5. This was a relatively good Blade book that was made a bit less so by rather poor art The book covers a lot of ground, filling in Blade s backstory with flashback scenes, time travel courtesy of a self serving Doctor Doom , and some new interactions between characters I was a little lost at the beginning is blade working for SHIELD or undercover or something , and the Civil War Wolverine story sort of breaks the momentum while also helping when the story had painted itself into a corner Overall, [...]

  6. This was one of the worst comic books that I have ever read Blade fought Spider Man, who became a vampire Spider Man wasn t even a major part of the story, though Plus Blade made a huge assumption about the effects of the vampire bite on Spider Man Wolverine also guest starred in this arc Unbelievably, Blade held his own against him This is the only comic featuring Blade that I ve ever read, and while this book tried to add some layers to his origin, I really don t know anything about what his p [...]

  7. The 1st issue is horrible The cover is amazing, But the interior art is dreadful From an undead spidey, a hellicarrier full of vamps and Blade in a SHIELD jumpsuit Its all bad Surprisingly the next issues were great, the writing was too powerful, Enough to ignore the awful art Usually flashbacks are lame But the use of them in accordance with the story made for an amazing read 2 Dr Doom.3 On a Date.4 A very special Christmas issue.5 Casualties of war tie in Wolverine.6 Lucas Cross.

  8. This collection didn t exactly grab me that could be simply because I m not familiar with all the backstory etc, but I think it s than that in itself the stories weren t particularly compelling, perhaps relying for interest and impetus on familiarity with the characters universe rather than on plot Artwork a bit ordinary too not bad, just unremarkable I ll re read and re review this when I m a bit familiar with the necessary mythos, just to be fair.

  11. Don t like the art and the stories are extremely boring The only exciting part I found about the entire trade were the crossover characters used.
